KickStart Volunteer Opportunities
If you are volunteering to be part of the KickStart Holiday Team (including serving in the kitchen etc) you will need to have completed the ChildSafe course and the Working with Children Check. Please indicate below that you have completed the training or need to complete the training. IMPORTANT NOTE:
As a requirement all volunteers MUST be regular attendees of Community Church Hornsby or its ministries. ie: Wildcats, Red Room & Sunday Mornings.
Volunteers who are under 16 years old are UNDER 16 years: NOT required to complete the legal checks and ChildSafe course but MUST attend the training session on Sunday 24 September at 2:30pm.
Due to number restrictions (30) and needing to spread helpers across all ages, you will be contacted by Kate if there is any issue with you volunteering.

Volunteer Role Descriptions General Team Member
Our team members are largely made up of volunteers, both adults and teenagers, who play games with the children, help with craft, sports and other activities during the programme. The main thing is to connect with the children in a meaningful and caring way. Activity Supervision is needed for both mornings and afternoons on each day of the programme.
Supervise children by sitting with them and talking to them while they have lunch.
From 12:30 - 2pm each day of the programme. Catering (Adults only)
Work alongside Kitchen Coordinator preparing Morning and Afternoon Tea for kids and leaders, as well as lunch for teens and leaders.
First Aid Officers
Be on duty to assist with basic first aid situations that may arise.
A current First Aid certificate is required and needs to be sent through to firstname.lastname@example.org
Friday 29th September, 5 - 8pm Help prepare BBQ and food for Karnival, serve the families attending and clean up afterwards. Traffic Team
To walk up and down Ida Street to maintain safe traffic practices. Help & bless drivers in any way you can (you are the first point of contact for many, so please make it count!).
Pack Up Assistance
There is always a lot of items which need to be packed up, loaded into cars and transported back to the Bridge after Karnival. Extra hands help this happen quickly and efficiently!
