OK, so we’ve taken some licence with the words of the classic song by Deep Purple. However, just as the well-know guitar riff that precedes these words may take you back to other times and places so too the images evoked by the words, of good mates gathering around a fire, by the water, will tug at the strings of your male heart.

If you are a bloke at CCH then the Men’s Muster 2008 is where you need to be … and where your mates who aren’t yet part of CCH also need to be.

This year the Muster will gather at a great new location at Lake Macquarie. It is only an hour from Hornsby and offers all the creature comforts with plenty of access to the great outdoors as well. Whether you are after a comfy lounge in front of the open fireplace, a sunny spot on the veranda with a drink, a bit of fishing on the lake or a game of footy on the grass – this site will cater to the needs of all.

We will feed you well – both body and soul. We have a great menu lined up, with a spit roast dinner as a feature not to be missed. We also have an excellent speaker coming along to add some spiritual bread to each meal. Grant Bickerton is a psychologist by training who is now in a full time faith ministry with Campus Crusade at Macquarie University. Grant will be looking at our created purpose as blokes and how God intended us to relate to Him, to relate to each other, and the ‘work’ he had in mind for us.

A Men's Small Group
Meets fortnightly Wednesday evenings to look at how we can learn and better understand the wisdom and guidance that the Bible has to offer men in their everyday Christian walk. All are welcome. Venue can vary so if you would like to attend please contact Douglas on mensministry@cch.net.au or 9482 7370 for details.

In the month of August we will be looking at Spiritual Health - It's Your Call more details here. At the end of the month we will be wrap up with a fabulous curry night dinner so stay tuned for details.

Reel To Real Fishing Club
The last Saturday of every month there are regular day fishing expeditions that are open to all with their own gear. This an open activity for any keen angler - men & women. Boats are pooled so not to worry if you don't have one. For more details click here.
