Parents need God!

Like the time Chris was loading cement blocks into the trailer out the back yard. She lay baby Phil down in the shade under the back of the trailer, not realising that at some point she’d overload the back of the trailer and its centre of balance would shift and it would come crashing down… Phil was in the little space behind the back wheel and a ton of cement!

Or like the time we came out into the kitchen, and toddler Deb had pushed her highchair up to the bench and was pretending to be a kettle… with one end of the plug in the socket and the other in her mouth. And she was turning the switch on and off… the switch immediately adjacent to the one that would make the kettle boil!

Or like the time 5 year old Dan stood beside me watching the removalist struggling down from his truck with our refrigerator… which he dropped sideways off the side of the truck, so close that it clipped Dan’s finger!

Or like the time… you get the point… If you can’t trust God to protect your kids, you’ll be mental before they’re 10. … well, you probably will be anyway, but that will be for other reasons!
