Core Beliefs
We hold these five beliefs as fundamental.
It’s all about Jesus
We honour Jesus in every way we know how. For us, life is incomplete and empty without Christ. We accept his offer of salvation and power and with the gift and presence of his Holy Spirit, we seek to explore the wonderful depths of life with him.
The Bible is central to all
We believe that the Bible has the power to transform the life of any individual person and has the authority to direct the church as a whole. We believe that to be a healthy, growing church, we must always be committed to the Bible as God’s Word. Because the Bible is so important to us, we place a high value on spiritually anointed and gifted preaching and teaching.
Culturally relevant church
We believe that Church should be contemporary, relevant, welcoming, impacting, balanced and fun. We believe that all who follow Christ (male and female, old and young) have God-given gifts and abilities and that every believer has a ministry function within the Church according to those gifts. We believe that our church should reflect the cultural diversity of our community.
People matter to God
We believe that God cares deeply about all people. They are of highest concern to him. As a church, we are passionately committed to reaching our world with the gracious message of salvation and forgiveness. In fact, we believe that we cannot be a healthy, growing church without being passionate about this brilliant cause.
The life of faith is a life of abundance
We believe that the Christian life should be happy, productive and fully devoted to Christ and his purposes. We believe that Jesus gives us his Spirit to open up to us a world of miracles, healings and dynamic answers to prayer. The Christian life should be marked by a vibrant commitment to the possibilities of faith in our miracle working God.
